A Personal Message from Clarke Hogan
Virginia Delegate Clarke HoganAs I continue to serve the 60th district in the Virginia General Assembly, I look forward to being your voice for rural Virginia in Richmond. Southern Virginia has faced many challenges over the past decade but I feel that we are positioning ourselves for an economic reinvention. We have seen new job creation with the announcement of a $3 million expansion of Asea Brown Boveri (ABB) in South Boston; a $3.5 million location for Alderman Railcar Services in Keysville; a $2.6 million location for Paris Ceramics in Farmville; and the announcement of a new prison in Charlotte County.

The Mid-Atlantic Broadband Cooperative, a 700 mile long system of broadband internet access, has been installed throughout our region. This network offers existing and new businesses the opportunity to compete in today’s high technology environment.

During my legislative career I have guided legislation through the General Assembly that will help to keep Virginia’s electricity rates low, improve access to higher education in under-served areas, crack down on illegal immigration, and lower taxes while providing economic opportunities. As long as I am your representative, I pledge to build on these successes and continue working for rural Virginians.

Cordially,

Clarke Hogan
