March 9, 2009, South Boston – Delegate Clarke Hogan, (R) 60th District, announced that he will not seek re-election to a fifth term in the Virginia House of Delegates.

“There is a season for everything,” he said.  Citing the responsibilities of owning and operating a business during rough economic times, Hogan said he has decided to focus his energies on his Ontario Hardwood business located in Keysville.

Delegate Hogan Wins Key Committee Appointments PDF Print E-mail

RICHMOND, VA – Speaker of the Virginia House of Delegates William J. Howell (R-Stafford) announced committee appointments for the 2008 session of the Virginia General Assembly.

Delegate Clarke N. Hogan has been newly appointed to the influential Rules Committee that deals with matters relating to the rules, operations and practices of the House of Delegates.  The Rules committee has been newly empowered with the ability to remove a bill that may be tied up in a committee and bring it to the House floor.  In addition, he will continue his service on the Appropriations and Agriculture, Chesapeake and Natural Resources Committees.
